What comment setting to use?

Back from Amsterdam and Belgium! The pics are on my friend's camera but I'll find a good one for you guys soon.

In the meantime, what setting do you other bloggers use to avoid all the crazy linkspam? I thought by forcing it to be registered users it would be fine, but it doesn't seem to be working. Should I go down to just Google Accounts?

Bleh, Cleaning up all this spam sucks.

Domesticity and stuff and stuff

Domesticity Update

Chris moved his stuff in last week! We've been living together for about 2 weeks, really, and we had our first party here on Memorial day and it was a total success!

I told my Dad and he didn't sound super thrilled actually, but whatever, I'll let them be. Haven't talked to my Mom directly about it yet.

My new favorite thing

So this is a conversation I've had about 3 times in the past month.
Friend: Wow you guys are moving in!
Me: Yep.
Friend: That's huge! Moving in is like, the gay equivalent of getting married!
Me: [straight face] I would hope that getting married is the gay equivalent of getting married.
Friend: [liberal guilt for the rest of their life].

Hehe. I know, I'm bad.

Speaking of weddings

I have like 7 weddings to go to this year, most in California. It's costing me a fortune in plane tickets, hotels, and gifts. The monetary hit wouldn't feel quite so sharp if it wasn't all in support of such a shamelessly unequal institution. I know this all sounds a little tired, but there it is. So I think starting in 2011, I'm going to be up front with my friends and family and let them know that I just am not going to attend any weddings in states that don't allow gay marriage. I dunno if i'll be able to commit to this for real, but we'll see.

Oh yeah

Anyone have any recommendations on how to stop the ridiculous comment spam? I even turned on the captcha thing and I still get flooded with it.

Posting for Post's Sake

1) This post is mostly so the embarassing sex positions post won't be up top..

2) Things with Chris are going really good. He had a party at his new place yesterday and I invited some of my friends too, although the embarassing part is I started getting Asian flush, which I normally never get, but when I do get it is all over my body and really kinda gross. Still his friends and my friends got along which is always fun.

3) We're throwing around the idea of a trip of some kind... I think it would be fun to just go back to Fire Island with him, or maybe we might just do something more casual like a day trip to a beach... I kind of hate overplanning stuff, but it's kind of inevitable at this stage huh.

4) So since I totally overshare on this blog and I kind of cling to the thin veil of security through obscurity, I was totally jostled today when I was browsing pictures on Letopho's blog and found that we have a mutual friend. It's a small world after all... Despite the fact that I have my picture and use real names on my blog, I feel like I can be super frank about a lot of stuff (sex, relationships, neuroses) that I wouldn't tell anyone I know in real life just cause it's all strangers on the internet. Still, I guess since the bubble of bloggers I read are mainly of similar background to me both ethnically and geographically, it's not that surprising after all. I'm still a little spooked though. I may start taking down some pictures ^^.

Oh, Hai, I'm Will.

Oh and since I'm pretty much out, this whole anonymity thing seems a little unnecessary right? Like, if one of my friends found this blog I'd be mildly mortified, but honestly I don't even post the good stuff, so whatever. Maybe some day I'll get racy and post my Jason Statham fanfic, but until then I can take the mask off.

Since I don't feel like a Noob anymore, I've changed my blogger handle from "ChelseaNoob" to "Will", and I put up a picture from my recent trip to Brazil. My sister was able to take a picture of me with a rainbow! It seemed appropriate.
